“PP Mountain Beach Resort,” a newly opened accommodation, comes with a water park offering views of Phi Phi Island from high vantage points, including Maya Bay. Though not directly on the sea, the excitement of water activities, the scenic vistas, and the tranquil atmosphere make the stay modern and refreshing. This trip to “PP Mountain Beach Resort” is just as satisfying as staying at Phi Phi The Beach. For those with a two-night stay, dividing the stay into one night each could be an option if seeking a change of scenery.
The resort is not far from the beach at all, and you can request transportation to take you there. The resort is built on a hill, so going down the hill, you’ll encounter the sea, but you can’t walk down there; it could be tiring. The resort’s transportation service runs until 2 PM, allowing you to go play in the water at Phi Phi The Beach Resort.
The lobby will also have activities for you to enjoy.
The atmosphere makes me think of Santorini as well, somewhat like being in Europe during a certain period. Perhaps it’s because of the white buildings and the blooming bougainvillea.
Your room, the Deluxe Double Room with Side Sea View, offers breathtaking views of the sea and is an ideal spot to watch the sunrise. The interior is spacious enough and highlights the Jacuzzi bathtub facilities. Additionally, there are full amenities provided. What’s particularly enjoyable is having complimentary beach gear in the room, perfect for a day at the water park.
Another stunning room option is the Suite, which boasts beautiful views both from the bathroom and the balcony. The room décor is similar to that of the Deluxe Double Room with Side Sea View where you are staying.
The island of Phi Phi features the only water park built above a water reservoir on the island. Imagine sliding down from a high point, enjoying the sea view before swiftly plunging into the pool. It’s incredibly fun! The water slides come in various sizes, catering to both children and adults alike. The atmosphere in the water park is vibrant and lively. However, when we visited, there weren’t many people around due to the intense tourist control measures in Krabi during that period. Visitors were required to have proof of vaccination or undergo rapid testing, which might have made it less convenient for tourists.
The viewpoint in front of the dining area offers an incredibly beautiful sea view. We entrusted all our meals to this place, and the food was absolutely delicious. One highly recommended dish is the Pad Thai wrapped in egg. This includes both breakfast and dinner options.
Today, I went on a trip to Maya Bay. You can purchase the trip directly from the resort, and you can even charter a private trip if you wish. It’s a long-tail boat trip that takes you to see Viking Cave, Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, and snorkeling. There are plenty of fish here, and when people see them, they tend to flock over. The sea around Krabi is exceptionally beautiful these days, with incredibly clear water. Plus, there aren’t many tourists around, so you won’t have people or boats crowding your photos. Going on the morning trip is especially great because around 10 AM, the water calms down, and you can easily walk into Pileh Lagoon.
The color of the water in Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon is truly incomparable to anywhere else in Thailand.
After the trip, you can stop by and enjoy the water at Phi Phi The Beach.
