Khao Yai in the rainy season is incredibly refreshing. This trip was a lot of fun at Rancho Charnvee Resort & Country Club.

Amidst the mountains and lush greenery, the 700-plus-rai kingdom of Rancho Charnvee Resort & Country Club is reputed to be one of the most delightful places to stay in Khao Yai. With its vast, shady grounds, cozy and private rooms, and most importantly, a plethora of activities, it captivates visitors. The food here is also exceptionally delicious. It’s safe to say that once you check in, you won’t want to leave, because the resort is so comfortable and enjoyable.

Rancho Charnvee Resort & Country Club is a resort with a large area, but the rooms are sparsely distributed, focusing on quality and privacy for guests. Therefore, the number of rooms is relatively small compared to the many activities and facilities provided. This is another highlight of Rancho Charnvee, and we were very impressed.

Let’s take a look at the rooms. The rooms are decorated with an English vibe, in an elegant and luxurious English Countryside style that is also warm and cozy. Our room was the Premier Pool Access, which is connected to the main swimming pool so you can step right out the door into the pool. The room is divided into a functional bathroom and a studio-style bedroom, complete with a soft sofa perfect for lounging and watching TV. The bed is a king size, and the bathroom has a separate shower. There’s also a small tea corner where you can sit and enjoy tea or coffee and take beautiful photos. The room provides coffee along with a Nespresso machine, so we made some coffee to sip and relax.

This is what makes rooms near the swimming pool so great. You don’t have to walk far, and if you forget something, you can easily go back and get it. You can change outfits for photos as many times as you want without any hassle. From our Premier Pool Access room, it was just a few steps to the pool. I noticed that there is a small iron fence separating the pool from the rooms, making it feel like the pool is almost your own.

The pool bar serves a variety of drinks. You should order some to refresh yourself. Swimming while sipping on a cold drink is very relaxing.

And here is an activity that we must say is a lot of fun: driving a classic car along the shady roads of Rancho Charnvee. It’s a joy to drive and view the large golf course, which is a championship-standard course. For golfers, this is one of the top courses in Khao Yai, an 18-hole, par-72 course, perfect for a round of golf and relaxation. But for non-golfers like us, driving a classic car to enjoy the scenery and take photos is a great alternative. The cars are very cute, and driving slowly is very relaxing. Additionally, there are ATVs for those who enjoy adventurous activities.

Our evening activity today was dining at Chez Sonia, the resort’s Italian restaurant, which we must say is extremely delicious. If you’re in Khao Yai and craving Italian food, head straight to Chez Sonia—you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant has two seating options: a cool indoor area or a comfortable outdoor area by the pool. We recommend ordering the wood-fired pizza with a thin, crispy crust and thick, soft edges. There are many pizza toppings to choose from. Today, we tried a spicy but flavorful topping with aromatic cheese that paired well with the crispy, chewy crust. The fried calamari was excellent, not greasy at all, and seasoned perfectly without overpowering the natural, sweet flavor of the squid. The dipping sauce was great too, cutting through any heaviness. However, we found that eating it without the sauce was just as delicious. The pasta was cooked al dente, with a wonderful aroma of butter, garlic, and white wine. The quality steak was served with potatoes, and we finished with the chef’s special tiramisu. It was all incredibly delicious and very satisfying.

After dining, we continued on to Pimarn Terrace where they were showing movies during dusk. The atmosphere was charming, warm, and truly special. It was perfect for those who enjoy sitting down to watch a movie while having dinner or sipping drinks. It was a wonderful night. Sweet dreams!

Let’s take a look at the breakfast buffet together. The breakfast spread offers a good variety, everything is of high quality with fresh, new ingredients, and most importantly, it’s delicious.

With such good food, who worries about missing out on exercise during a trip? At Rancho Charnvee, there’s no need to worry at all. They have a well-equipped air-conditioned fitness room with various types of exercise equipment for you to choose from.

After finishing breakfast, we went to explore Rancho Club, which is perfect for families with young children. They have cute little farm animals like ponies and ducks. If anyone wants to try horseback riding, they offer professional supervision. For those who love horseback riding, it’s a must-try experience. They also provide pony rides for beginners, and if you want to learn how to ride, they offer lessons too.

A rainy season trip like this at Khao Yai’s Rancho Charnveee Resort & Country Club is absolutely delightful. It’s fresh and vibrant everywhere you look, with soothing greenery and beautiful mountain trees. This season is truly perfect for visiting Khao Yai.
