A Dense Activity of Fog and Floating Raft at Pung-Waan Resort, Kanchanaburi Province.

“Pung-Waan Resort” is located along the banks of the Kwai River, perfect for nature lovers and activity enthusiasts. The surrounding atmosphere is serene and tranquil.

I see such a view especially in the early morning.

“Pung-Waan Resort” is a timeless resort destination, akin to a timeless gem. Despite having been in operation for a long time, the accommodations and ambiance remain splendid and inviting. This particular lodging is situated by the riverside, offering a picturesque view of the Kwae River from the balcony.

“Bung Bua,” near the thatched cottages on the hillside, is a tranquil pond located close to the accommodations.

The lobby features several sitting areas where you can order ice cream or pastries to enjoy.

Checking into the room for a while, then heading to the café sounds like a great idea. The drinks are reasonably priced, and you can enjoy authentic Italian sodas. The cappuccino coffee is especially delightful.

There’s also a Thai massage service available nearby the café. After a tiring drive, getting a massage before going to bed would be incredibly relaxing.

There are plenty of activities to choose from, including archery, rock climbing, and adventure activities at various bases.

This is perfect for kids. There are many deer of various species, and you can feed them. However, the deer can be a bit wary of people as they are raised in a natural habitat. They are kept in large enclosures, so the deer can roam freely and play around.

The highlight is the wet bamboo rafting, which takes about 1 hour round trip. The scenery on both sides of the journey is lush greenery, and the water is cool and refreshing. The raft driver will stop at 3-4 spots along the way for water activities.

“Pung-Waan Resort” in Sai Yok has several scenic viewpoints. The views are stunning from every angle, making it perfect for photography enthusiasts.

The dinner served at the resort’s dining room features Kanchanaburi-style cuisine, known for its bold flavors and emphasis on local ingredients. It’s exceptionally delicious, especially the crispy fried ruby fish served with sweet green curry sauce and caramelized sweet potatoes.

Our dinner area also doubles as a breakfast room. Waking up fresh in the morning, you can enjoy the pure air while having breakfast. Sitting there, overlooking the green garden by the Kwae River, feels like rejuvenating your energy.

To wrap up the day, you can take a leisurely drive around the resort for one last look before retiring for the night.
