Come listen to the birds sing, paddle along the canal’s edge, and relax in simplicity at ‘Bangkok Tree House,’ a nature lover’s retreat.

The beautifully designed accommodations amidst the jungle and the resort’s eco-friendly concept make Bangkok Tree House one of the sought-after retreats for travelers seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life for a day. It offers a chance to unwind with sustainable tourism experiences in a place filled with intriguing stories. Bangkok Tree House is where you want to be.

“Bangkok Tree House” is located in Bang Nam Phueng Subdistrict, Samut Prakan Province, which is still considered part of Bangkok’s lungs. This area retains its greenery and traditional community lifestyle. Therefore, it’s not surprising to find that Bang Nam Phueng community is quite rural, despite being not too far from the urban developments of Bangkok, separated only by the Chao Phraya River. When traveling to the resort, you cannot park your car directly at the resort. Instead, you can park at the Bang Nam Phueng temple outside and then take a motorcycle taxi to the resort. Just inform them that you are a guest at the resort, and there will be no charge.

Perhaps it’s the trade-off for the secluded location inaccessible by car, but in return, Bangkok Tree House offers a sense of privacy and tranquility. There’s no disruptive noise from cars, only the soothing sounds of birdsong and rustling leaves as the wind blows. Occasionally, you might hear the distant hum of a passing boat, but that’s about it.

The check-in area serves as both a lobby, café, and dining room.

The accommodation offers two types of rooms: Tree Top Nest and Bee Hive. The room available for our review is a Tree Top Nest. Each room has the same layout but differs in decoration details. Rooms are named after nature elements such as Bird’s Nest, Butterfly, Bee, and Ant, reflecting the natural theme of the accommodation. The rooms are styled like a duplex, with the bathroom on the lower level. The bathrooms are particularly exotic, as you can bathe while enjoying views of the trees, using curtains as privacy from the outside. They are very sexy bathrooms, with breathtaking views. However, it’s not recommended for elderly guests because of the stairs. The design is indeed very cool and beautiful, but elderly guests might find it difficult to climb. Elderly guests may opt for the Bee Hive rooms, which are more suitable for family vacations. Let’s talk about the upper floor. It’s a bedroom with a wide balcony and a set of chairs for enjoying nature views. What we love most, though, is the rooftop deck, which is the highlight of the stay. Sitting up there, feeling the wind, lying down to gaze at the sky and the drifting leaves—this is all we need for a perfect holiday.

“Bangkok Tree House” serves a variety of beverages, including coffee and refreshing drinks like peach tea and Italian sodas. They also offer a selection of Thai fusion dishes, with recommended items such as Spaghetti Green Curry with Snakehead Fish, which we really enjoy, and even rare Thai dishes like Horse Hoof Soup. Besides the resort guests, there are also outside visitors who come specifically to dine here, often occupying several tables.

The resort offers activities such as kayaking to explore the picturesque Bang Pha and Bang Nam Phueng canals, which have been featured in several movies and dramas as filming locations. The kayaking journey continues until the canals meet the Chao Phraya River, passing by old-growth trees and traditional community houses along the way. Additionally, there are activities available such as tie-dye cloth making and kayak fishing. Furthermore, there are small exhibitions showcasing the history of the Phra Pradaeng community, allowing visitors to learn about the community’s past.

The boat will take us paddling from the canal to the mouth of the river. This is the pier that connects to the Bangkok side. It’s very close by, so it’s very convenient to come to the resort by crossing the boat. By crossing the boat from Wat Bang Nam outside, you can park your car there. This is another option. Besides parking at Wat Bang Nam outside, you can also take a motorcycle taxi in.

Another popular activity is cycling. The resort provides bicycles for guests to borrow.

In the evening, the resort offers a new promotion: BBQ pork set, which is incredibly enjoyable. You can sit and enjoy your meal while watching the boats on the Chao Phraya River. As it gets dark, there might be a few mosquitoes, but don’t worry, they provide mosquito spray. So, you’ll be fine.

The breakfast here is still the same. It’s a set menu that you can choose from right when you check in.

And here is the tourist map of Bang Krachao. Don’t forget to keep it complete.
