Review: Moroc Co Chiang Mai, this trip was truly enjoyable at The Grand Morocc Hotel.

Chiang Mai, this province holds a special place in our hearts. Tired of beach trips, we decided to explore the mountains instead. Before heading up, we thought of having some fun and decided to spend a day exploring before hitting the waterfalls. The Grand Morocc Hotel seemed like the perfect fit for our adventurous and romantic getaway this time. Situated in Mae Rim district, not far from attractions like Mae Sa Waterfall, Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, Wat Pa Daraphirom, Khuem Suea and the Snake Farm, it appears to be the top destination in Mae Rim. These attractions are all within a 10-minute drive from the hotel.

The highlights of The Grand Morocc Hotel that attract attention for accommodation include the provision of Arabian-style clothing services. There are various designs, colors, and styles to choose from, including accessories that can be mixed and matched according to personal preferences. This service is complimentary for guests, but if you wish to opt for a more grandiose style, it is also available with an additional cost. For us, the ample variety provided was satisfying enough. The experience of selecting and wearing these outfits was truly enjoyable, as it’s not something we usually do in our daily lives, adding a bit of excitement to our stay.

Once you’ve selected the outfit you want to wear, you can explore various points within the hotel for photo opportunities. The Grand Morocc is an inspiring accommodation that draws its design and decor inspiration from Moroccan Style art, blending influences from Islamic, Spanish, French, African, and Persian cultures into a distinctive Moroccan style. The interior atmosphere of the hotel is rich with vibrant colors, detailed decorations, and an enchanting overall ambiance.

Moroccan-style homes often feature a central garden, but at The Grand Morocc Hotel, this is replaced with a moderately-sized swimming pool that stretches alongside the surrounding buildings. This spot is perfect for enjoying a drink by the pool, with the building as a picturesque background. The back side is particularly beautiful for photography, but during busy times, it’s recommended to find a camera angle that avoids the crowd. It’s a popular spot, and I suggest coming early in the morning or during the intense midday sun when there are fewer people, ensuring you capture stunning photos. The pool here is emphasized as a photography hotspot and may not be suitable for those seeking a more laid-back and relaxing atmosphere.

The accommodation in the rooms is designed for relaxation, with each room offering a view of the garden. Each room is uniquely decorated, and there are different types of rooms available. One such option is the One Bedroom Suite, suitable for two people. The rooms are equipped with amenities such as soap, shampoo, bathrobes, an umbrella, an iron, a coffee maker, and complimentary bottled water to enhance your stay.

The Two Bedrooms Suite, which can accommodate 4 people, features a common living area in the middle. It is suitable for families or groups and comes with its own bathroom for added convenience.

The hotel’s dining facility operates as an all-day dining venue, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also functions as a café. As for the café, we’d like to recommend a delightful Moroccan-style tea. It is elegantly presented, featuring fragrant and richly flavored tea blended with milk. Those who enjoy tea are likely to find it absolutely delightful.

For chilled beverages, they offer an Italian-style floral tea with soda.

The hotel’s restaurant serves an affordable a la carte menu during the day, allowing guests to enjoy delicious meals comfortably. After trying a variety of dishes, it’s apparent that the kitchen excels in preparing Kerry-style dishes. Their selections of Khao Soi, Green Curry, Massaman Curry, and Pad Thai are particularly delightful.

Breakfast options are reasonably varied and considered comprehensive, offering choices such as rice porridge, American breakfast, sausages, ham, toast, and various egg dishes. The carb options, particularly the delicious pastries, are noteworthy.

For this trip, what we enjoyed about The Grand Morocc Hotel was the fun activity of dressing up in Moroccan style and taking joyful photos. The accommodation had comfortable beds and complete amenities. For those planning a trip to Chiang Mai, especially in Mae Rim, consider staying here. This trip is sure to be enjoyable with the Moroccan theme!
