Let’s go on a trip to Khao Yai together! Check in at the unique Recall Isaan-Isan Concept Resort in Khao Yai together!
The northeastern region, or Isaan, is a culturally distinctive area that captivates anyone who experiences its charm. Those who appreciate the delicious taste of Isaan cuisine are sure to be enchanted. The lively sounds of the traditional khaen and the rhythmic melodies of luk thung and mor lam music resonate in the ears. The gentle touch of smooth and soft white silk fabric adds to the sensory experience. The distinctiveness of Isaan, with its clear identity, is vividly brought to life at Recall Isaan-Isan Concept Resort. Immerse yourself in the lovely tales of Isaan, unwind in comfort, and embark on incredibly enjoyable days of exploration, all starting from this very moment.
Recall Isaan-Isan Concept Resort, or simply known as Isaan Isaan Resort, is located in the district of Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima province. As a boutique resort, it has a distinctive identity that becomes apparent the moment you arrive. The resort is truly Isaan-inspired, evident in its unique decoration using bamboo throughout. Starting from the watchtower, resembling an Isaan-style fish trap called ‘Kho Ngai Pla’ (ข้องใส่ปลา), to the large lobby adorned with golden-toned bamboo, the resort conveys a sense of creativity and luxury. Isaan Isaan Resort adds a playful touch with decorations of white silk fabric, reminiscent of the region’s traditional horse decorations, and handwoven fabrics in various colors from the Isaan region, creating a distinctive and unparalleled sense of chic.
Due to the current measures in place to prevent Covid-19, before entering the lobby, there are registration points where visitors will have their temperature checked and hands sanitized with alcohol. After a smooth check-in process, guests will be accompanied by staff to their rooms. Along the way, guests will encounter Isaan culture expressed through sculptures of animals and mural paintings on the walls. This resort truly stands out as a destination in Isaan with a well-defined concept. Meanwhile, guests can also appreciate the lush garden, the calming Ji Mong waterfall, and the meandering stream during their journey to the rooms.
Here we have three types of rooms: Superior Room, Deluxe Room, and Suite. Additionally, in the near future, there will be Villas, and they seem to be nearing completion. The room designs are as clear and distinctive as the hotel architecture. Let’s start with the Superior Room, the room where we will be staying. The walls are adorned with exposed loft-style bricks, creating a fun and lively atmosphere with colorful patterns of white silk fabric horses. This room boasts the best view, as it overlooks both the resort and the expansive, sunlit swimming pool. Each room comes with a balcony, but what stands out and is particularly delightful is the set of white silk fabric horse-patterned robes available for guests to wear for some picturesque moments. The bathroom sink is located outside the bathroom, adding a unique touch.
Moving on to the Deluxe Room, this room is larger than the Superior Room, offering a more spacious layout. The decoration style is elegant, and the view is distinctly different. The balcony is relatively wide, providing a comfortable space to enjoy the scenery.
And finally, the Suite. This room is exceptionally spacious, and the notable feature that stands out is the predominant use of bamboo furniture, staying true to the Isaan concept. In addition to the bed, there are also sitting areas inside the room, including floor seating and an adjustable sofa. The balcony of the suite offers a chic bamboo seating area with a view of the water feature and the resort’s swimming pool.
Every room at this resort comes fully equipped with a range of amenities, including a minibar, safe, hairdryer, TV, and refrigerator.
The resort also features a large saltwater swimming pool to pamper your skin. Additionally, there are spa facilities and conference rooms. Tomorrow, I’ll be reviewing the spa for you. As for tonight’s dinner, we opted for the barbecue set. The weather is lovely, and the resort has an open-air cinema for guests to enjoy. As dusk falls, the lights create a vibrant atmosphere. Dining, watching a movie – it’s truly the best way to spend the evening.
For breakfast, we opted for the hearty Isaan-style breakfast set. In truth, the accommodation provides a wide variety of food options, including an egg station, tea and coffee corner, as well as a selection of bread, salads, and more. However, we highly recommend trying the authentic Isaan breakfast for a unique and delicious experience that stands out from the rest.
Before heading back, we had the opportunity to experience the spa, and there were various options, including traditional Thai massage and aromatherapy. The spa room’s ambiance provided a sense of relaxation, simplicity, and accessibility. It wasn’t overly luxurious, making us feel comfortable and at ease. Most importantly, the massage was excellent, leaving us feeling incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated. The massage therapists were skillful, and the additional neck support provided during the massage added a nice touch. It was a great way to end our stay.
An overview of Recall Isaan-Isan Concept Resort personally leaves a strong impression of being distinctly Isaan. The storytelling of the local cultural identity is well-presented, aligning with its position as a local accommodation gateway to Isaan. Some parts of the resort’s ambiance even evoke thoughts of Japan, perhaps a personal perception. For those who have visited, did you also feel a connection between Isaan and Japan? Another charming aspect is the genuine nature of the staff who greet you in the Isaan language. The delicious Isaan cuisine is a must-try. Highly recommended!
