Review of Ace of Hua Hin Resort: Secluded Beachfront Bliss, Poolside Bedrooms, and Ocean-View Pool Villas

Hua Hin… No matter how many times we visit, we never get tired of you. Move a little closer to Hua Hin with Ace of Huahin Resort, a.k.a. Ace of Hua Hin Resort, located along the Hua Hin-Cha-am stretch, just a mere 2-hour drive from Bangkok. Nestled by a private beach that is both wide and long, the resort boasts a beautifully crafted design that we adore. This is our fourth visit, and we keep coming back because we’re impressed by the beachfront and the exquisite details in the hotel’s decor.

When you drive into Ace of Huahin Resort, you’ll find parking available right away. A buggy will then come to pick you up and assist with transporting your luggage, making the arrival process convenient and comfortable. Before entering the lobby, you’ll encounter a picturesque spot that has become a must-capture moment for everyone. It has transformed into an iconic photo spot for the hotel. So, take a snapshot at this charming location before heading to the lobby.

After that, walk through the lobby entrance with its grand, welcoming doors. I really like this kind of lobby – it allows you to feel the cool sea breeze, catch glimpses of the gentle waves, and offers a pool table and a reading corner right in the lobby area.

While walking towards the rooms, you’ll come across this corner. Initially, we thought it was a swimming pool, but it’s not. It’s actually a beautifully designed spot for taking stunning photos. The long pathway connects to various room types, offering a picturesque environment both during the day and at night. You can truly feel the distinctive atmosphere that makes it an excellent photo opportunity.

This pathway continues all the way to the beachfront, passing through the hotel’s main restaurant and the main swimming pool. On both sides of the walkway, there are shaded areas with modern and beautifully designed elements. The design incorporates small touches of Thai art, blending contemporary aesthetics with traditional Thai influences.

The beachfront at Ace of Huahin Resort, especially during the Pla Bpuem season, tends to be serene with few people around at any time of the day. It provides a private and tranquil atmosphere. The fine white sand adds to the overall appeal, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a peaceful and private beach experience.

The infinity pool at Ace of Huahin Resort is located right by the sea, creating a seamless blend between the pool’s edge and the horizon. The pool is themed with shades of blue and white, providing a feeling as if you are swimming in the sea itself. Whether you’re swimming, lounging by the pool, or relaxing on the beach, the overall experience is truly delightful, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the sea from various vantage points.

The room I like the most would probably have to be the Ace Suite with Sea View and Private Pool, a one-bedroom accommodation situated at the frontmost part of the resort. It offers views of the beach, the pool, and the garden. It is designed in a way that once you are in, you may not want to go anywhere else. The exterior features a spacious terrace with a large day bed, providing a view of the sea and the infinity pool for two. The outdoor rain shower adds to the sense of privacy.

Apart from these amenities, the living area is beautifully decorated with a luxurious touch, showcasing a view of the sea. The bedroom is ensuite, with a bathroom featuring a bathtub at every corner, each offering a panoramic view of the sea. Every detail in the room is designed to create a breathtaking and relaxing atmosphere.

The Ace Tropical Suite is a two-bedroom accommodation with a private pool, designed for family stays, accommodating up to 4 adults and 1 additional child. The spacious room covers an area of 215 square meters and features a private pool, a kitchen, a dining table, a living room, and a generously sized guest area.

The suite includes two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The large private pool adds an extra touch of luxury to the overall experience. This room is ideal for families looking for a comfortable and spacious stay, providing ample space for both relaxation and entertainment.

The Ace Deluxe room, located adjacent to the swimming pool, is uniquely special as it seamlessly connects to the pool area. This room features a spacious balcony and a daybed for relaxation, offering direct access to the pool. The pool itself is characterized by its length, providing ample space for enjoyable swimming without feeling crowded. The bed in the room is plush and comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The wide balcony and cozy daybed make it an ideal spot for unwinding and enjoying the poolside ambiance.

The interior of the room comes equipped with a separate shower and toilet, providing added convenience and privacy. The inclusion of a separate shower allows guests to enjoy a refreshing and rejuvenating bathing experience, while the toilet area remains distinct for additional comfort. This thoughtful design ensures a well-appointed and functional space for guests to enjoy during their stay.

With such a delightful ambiance, indulging in delicious cuisine is a must. Ivy Restaurant, located by the pool and adjacent to the beach, provides a perfect setting for dining. There are seating options available on the terrace, and if you’re looking for a special spot, it’s advisable to reserve a table in advance. I highly recommend dining on the terrace for a private and fantastic atmosphere. The overall experience is truly delightful.

The food is in a Thai fusion style, and each dish is outstanding and uniquely creative – something you might not have tried anywhere else. The chef has a remarkable talent for creating flavors that are truly delicious. For instance, the Seasar Salad with fried shrimp is a standout. While it may look like a regular Caesar salad with bacon, what makes it exceptional is the deliciously fried shrimp. Next is the large portion of Panang Salmon, with a sweet and slightly spicy taste. This dish is remarkable for its fresh and robust salmon. The stuffed squid and curry-powder-fried soft-shell crab are also delicious. You won’t be disappointed with any dish you try here.

The large blue glass contains a refreshing drink called Blue Hawaii Blended Coconut Water. It’s a delightful beverage that brings joy, especially because it includes coconut water blended with ice flakes. Another glass is filled with Blue Hawaii, similar to the one on top, with a fresh and lively taste.

It seems like you’ve enjoyed breakfast at Ace of Hua Hin Resort four times, and each time has been consistently satisfying. The breakfast offerings feature a variety of options, including Thai, Asian, and American breakfast choices, as well as healthy menu selections. This diversity allows guests to choose based on their preferences, ensuring a well-rounded breakfast experience.
