Review: SO Sofitel Hua Hin… So Chic… So Good… So Happy

SO Sofitel Hua Hin is a private beachfront accommodation that embodies the concept of completeness, encompassing So Arty for artistic design, So Nature for a nature-centric resort experience, and stylish decoration. Beyond its intriguing design philosophy, SO Sofitel Hua Hin offers a plethora of interesting activities. The service and accommodation are top-notch, reaching a 5-star level. The facilities available are extensive, providing a wide array of choices. Even a one-night stay might not be sufficient to fully utilize all the facilities. Staying at SO Sofitel Hua Hin for two days or more would be ideal for a truly satisfying experience.

SO Sofitel Hua Hin is truly an accommodation for every lifestyle and age. Fashion enthusiasts will find delight in the resort’s picture-perfect corners, capturing moments from relaxation to the time spent in the imaginative world. Beginning with the comfortable, white rabbit-shaped timekeeper welcoming you to leave the chaos of the outside world behind, you can then immerse yourself in the realm of imagination. The gently descending soft-stone staircase leads you to the open-air, spectacular lobby. At this point, the journey into the imaginative world of a leisurely stay at SO Sofitel Hua Hin begins.

Introducing the hottest photo spot at So Sofitel Huahin, this particular corner is truly captivating, and personally, I’ve never come across anything like it before. It’s a 3D photo corner that, when lit up, produces stunning images like the one shown. This spot is located near the swimming pool in the So Fit fitness and So Spa zones. Despite the hotel’s large size, finding facilities is not difficult at all. The fitness and spa zones are conveniently situated close to the lobby, and there’s a pool nestled between the fitness and spa areas. For those who are health-conscious and enjoy exercising, this spot is definitely a gem.

Another beachfront gem and signature spot at SO Sofitel Hua Hin is the colossal hand of Nang Phanthurat, emerging from the sands. It has become a must-visit spot for every guest, a signature of the resort. When staying at SO Sofitel Hua Hin, not only is the beachfront serene and tranquil, but the sand is also fine and suitable for water play, with no sharp rocks to worry about. Moreover, the iconic sight of Nang Phanthurat’s hand rising from the sand adds a unique touch, making it a spot that everyone must capture in photographs.

The One Bedroom Pool Villa is our chosen accommodation this time, featuring a private villa measuring 215 square meters. It comes with a mid-sized swimming pool and a spacious terrace for relaxation. The privacy is well-maintained with a surrounding wall, possibly made of tree fences, providing a semi-transparent appearance to outsiders. This natural fence adds a touch of freshness to the villa, creating a tropical garden atmosphere.

Inside the villa, the main functions are divided into three parts. The first part includes a TV set and a comfortable sofa for relaxation. The second part consists of the bathroom, with a bathtub, rain shower, and a walk-in closet. The third part is the bedroom, featuring high glass doors extending from the floor to the ceiling, allowing for good ventilation and a view of the swimming pool. The curtains provide ample light control when closed. The sleeping experience is comfortable, and amenities such as bath creams, shampoos, and fragrant lotions are fully provided. The mini-bar is complimentary, excluding alcoholic beverages.

The resort area is shaded with a variety of trees, both small and large. The garden and grass field are well-maintained. There are paths suitable for cycling for exercise as well.

The startled group of rabbits, frightened by Nang Phanthurat’s hand, managed to slip through the special glass and hide in various parts inside the room. Take a closer look, and you might discover that there could be a little rabbit hiding somewhere in your own room.

Have fun at SO Wonderland Adventure Golf as you assist the little wizardess Viola in breaking the enchantment by collecting 17 magical ingredients. Then, use them to brew a potion and restore life to the enchanted creatures in the magical forest, which have been turned into stone.

SO Sofitel Hua Hin offers a multitude of activities that cater to the enjoyment of every age and lifestyle.

Wibit Adventure Float is an absolute must-try – it’s incredibly enjoyable for both kids and adults alike. The floating activity base is situated on a large pool, and this zone also features a separate kids’ pool. There are various other water activities and a pool bar available in this area as well. It’s worth noting that Wibit is suitable for children aged 7 and above, and it’s advisable to use life jackets for safety.

When it comes to dining at So Sofitel Hua Hin, we highly recommend trying White Oven. This restaurant serves authentic Thai dishes with original flavors, creatively presented to bring a fresh perspective to each dish. The ambiance offers both air-conditioned seating and an open-air option by the pool, providing a distant but scenic view of the sea. The recommended dishes include the delicious Fried Shrimp with Tamarind Sauce, Fried Rice with Mackerel, Tom Yum Goong soup, and Deep-Fried Seabass with Fish Sauce. Additionally, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, featuring a picturesque staircase that serves as a perfect photo spot.

If you’re looking for a beachside atmosphere with good vibes, Beach So Sofitel features a Beach Society Bar and a restaurant. The Beach Society Bar serves a variety of drinks, including both classic and signature concoctions that you definitely shouldn’t miss. As for the food menu, it features a selection of Italian dishes and Tapas, creating a delightful dining experience by the sea.

The breakfast at White Oven offers a diverse selection, featuring an international buffet line. On the day of our visit, they served a mini-buffet, which wasn’t fully extensive but sufficient for a delightful meal. Staying on a regular day, hotels often serve a mini-buffet to maintain a more intimate setting with fewer guests, allowing for a pleasant dining experience. The advantage is that there are fewer people, avoiding overcrowding. The breakfast choices cater to various preferences, including options for health enthusiasts, bakery lovers, and those who enjoy Asian cuisine for breakfast, such as red noodle soup. Specialties from Phetchaburi province, such as the delicious red noodle soup with chicken, are also featured. They also serve fresh salads with a wide variety of dressings. The bakery items, especially the muffins and croissants, are exceptionally tasty.

Ending with an enchanting evening atmosphere at So Sofitel Hua Hin.
