This trip is green, taking a breath of fresh air at Bang Krachao in Bangkok, at Bangkok Tree House.

With the name Bang Krachao, the “Lungs of Bangkok,” these words are more than true. In Bang Krachao, nature thrives with lush greenery, flanked by waterways and enchanting rows of green trees that line the paths, following the traditional charm of the preserved boat procession from the past. Moreover, the area is incredibly serene, featuring a simple and charming community lifestyle. There is an abundance of delicious food options, making the entire day’s exploration delightful and never boring. When it comes to accommodation in Bang Krachao, Bangkok Tree House stands out as a top choice. This trip is truly fulfilling.

Bangkok Tree House is conveniently located just a short distance from the heart of Bangkok, with the Chao Phraya River serving as a natural barrier. The resort is easily accessible both by boat and car. If traveling by car, you can park at Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok and then take a motorcycle taxi to the resort without incurring any additional charges. The journey from the temple to the resort takes only 5 minutes.

During the trip, you’ll notice that urbanization has not encroached heavily upon Bang Krachao. The locals lead a relaxed and unhurried lifestyle. If you’re seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, especially if you have limited time and don’t want to travel far, Bangkok Tree House is the perfect choice.

Arriving at the resort, hunger began to set in. After completing the check-in process, our attention was immediately drawn to the menu of beverages and desserts. We decided to grab something to eat before heading to our room. The café at Bangkok Tree House offers a variety of both desserts and à la carte dishes. Guests, whether staying at the hotel or just visiting for a day trip, were coming in and out, making it quite popular. It can be aptly described as a top-tier café in Bang Krachao.

The resort offers activities, one of which is kayaking along the picturesque canals. These canals are featured in several famous movies, creating a scenic backdrop. The canal flows towards the confluence with the Chao Phraya River. The lush and densely arranged forests on both sides of the canal evoke a sense of nostalgia. Anyone who appreciates a classic and tranquil atmosphere is sure to enjoy this experience.

After the kayaking adventure, let’s explore the accommodations at Bangkok Tree House. The standout feature here is the exceptional design. The lodging follows a villa-style, blending seamlessly with the coconut groves and forests. What’s fascinating is that even though it harmonizes with nature, the accommodations have a distinctive and memorable style. The villas are constructed using wood, concrete, and steel, exuding a cool loft-style vibe. The interior is designed as a Duplex, with the lower level serving as a play area and a semi-outdoor bathroom, while the upper level houses the bedroom. Terraces provide panoramic views, and to top it all off, there’s a rooftop deck for stargazing.

Each room type has its own distinctive character with unique decor, and they are individually equipped with amenities. However, they share a similar floor plan, providing a consistent layout across the various room types. This ensures a coherent design while allowing each room to maintain its own individual style and features.

Another fun activity is cycling around Bang Krachao. The resort provides bicycles for your enjoyment, allowing you to pedal and soak in the serene and refreshing air.

Bangkok Tree House is pet-friendly.

We entrusted our appetite to the kitchen of Bangkok Tree House. The dining area is a fantastic vantage point, situated along the banks of the Chao Phraya River. It is tastefully decorated with a unique and stylish touch, setting it apart from others.

The cuisine at Bangkok Tree House follows a fusion style, blending Thai flavors with a contemporary touch. It caters to those who enjoy bold and flavorful tastes. Dishes like “Kaprao Kai Dao” (Stir-fried Basil with Fried Egg), “Laab Moo” (Spicy Minced Pork Salad), and simple yet delicious choices are highlights. As for the Spaghetti Pla Salid (Mackerel Spaghetti), I highly enjoy it as well.

Breakfast is served in the same dining area as dinner, featuring an à la carte menu with unlimited choices. The dishes are presented beautifully, appetizing in appearance, and offer delicious flavors. Additionally, there is a small mini-buffet section where you can help yourself to various items, including tea, coffee, milk, and cereals.

This trip has left a lasting impression, and I would love to come back again. The accommodation, nestled close to nature on the other side of the river near Bangkok, was truly remarkable. Don’t forget to visit the Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market to pick up some handcrafted souvenirs before heading back home. I’ll definitely be coming back to Bangkok Tree House.
