The Oasis in the heart of Chiang Mai, a tranquil and serene retreat at Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort

Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort offers a peaceful oasis in the heart of the old city, surrounded by cultural attractions such as Tha Pae Road, Chedi Luang Temple, Wat Phra Singh, charming restaurants, and cute cafes. The resort exudes a distinctive vibe, steering away from the hustle and bustle, in line with the concept of Away. At the same time, it allows easy access to nearby tourist spots and cool places by strolling down the lanes and alleys.

Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort boasts a unique and distinctive decoration with a colonial style. The iconic white facade looks vintage and is adorned with intricate patterns, creating a truly memorable image that is unmistakably Away. Staying here is sure to leave a lasting impression, as the design is so photogenic that every corner is worthy of a snapshot.

The hotel lobby is filled with beautifully decorated details in the Lanna Colonial style. Every piece of furniture and decorative item is carefully selected to create a sense of awe, classic elegance, and most importantly, to provide a welcoming respite from travel fatigue. Upon arrival, simply sitting and relaxing in the lobby immediately evokes a feeling of comfort and rejuvenation.

Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort offers compact and well-designed accommodations that make the most out of limited space. Each section of the resort is carefully designed to avoid a cramped feeling, emphasizing privacy. The swimming pool, guest rooms, and other facilities are not too far apart, making it easy to navigate and move around effortlessly. Whether going upstairs to change clothes, heading down to the pool, or grabbing a bite to eat at the restaurant, everything is conveniently close, sparing guests unnecessary fatigue. Besides being suitable for couples, the resort is also ideal for family vacations with children and elderly individuals.

The room we stayed in today, the Deluxe Pool Access, is one of the best-selling rooms, often booked quickly. The room stands out with direct access to the pool, and despite its moderate size of 31 square meters, it is well-appointed. The decor exudes a chic and classic vibe, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

You can order room service for Afternoon Tea, and the pastries are delicious. They offer a diverse set that includes Thai sweets, sandwiches, and assorted bakery items in small, bite-sized portions. It’s perfect for sharing and enjoying together for two people, creating a delightful and satisfying experience.
At Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort, they offer Family Suite accommodations suitable for a stay of three people without the need for an extra bed. The Family Suite includes two beds, a double and a single, with an increased room size of 40 square meters. The room decoration follows the same theme as the Deluxe rooms.
Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort is a veggie hotel that emphasizes serving organic food for health. Every dish is prepared using pesticide-free ingredients, carefully selected for freshness, and, importantly, ensures delicious flavors. During this trip, we had the pleasure of enjoying tasty and healthy meals at the Moreganic restaurant, where the Northern Thai organic cuisine truly delighted the palate.
Having tasted it, you can really tell that they choose their ingredients carefully. This is the tofu satay, spicy tofu curry, and tom yum mushroom soup. Everything is delicious! Those who are vegetarian will especially love it. Moreganic is a must-visit for every meal.

Can’t miss the Northern Thai cuisine without trying the Mushroom Khao Soi! The round, plump mushrooms, the chewy rice noodles bathed in flavorful broth – it’s irresistibly crispy. Once you taste it, you’ll want to keep going back for more. Delicious!

Stir-fried pineapple rice, fragrant and with grains perfectly separated – that’s what I had for this meal. Having enjoyed four different dishes, it’s definitely a detox for the stomach and a truly satisfying experience.

If you prefer, you can also have meals from Moreganic delivered to your room. We decided to try some Italian dishes, and they still maintain the same organic and vegetarian concept. Even for those who don’t usually eat vegetarian, you’ll find the flavors delightful. It’s a convenient and tasty option for in-room dining.

During the afternoon at Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort, there’s another delightful activity – a Thai dessert buffet. They offer a variety of delicious Thai desserts such as ‘Tako,’ ‘Tab Tim Krob,’ and Thai tea cakes. It’s truly delicious! Fresh fruits and beverages are also available. All this comes at a reasonable price of 250 Baht per person. We highly recommend it; it’s worth it!

Taking this trip and staying at Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort felt like a rejuvenating experience. I gained positive energy from the lovely atmosphere at the hotel, and the staff were incredibly charming. The cultural charm of the town added to the overall beauty of the trip. Moreover, I had the pleasure of enjoying wholesome, pesticide-free meals, contributing to a happy and contented feeling. It was truly a delightful experience, and it ended with a refreshing breakfast from Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort, featuring salads, natural vegetables and fruits, and cool fruit extracts – a fresh and light treat for the stomach.
